Tire Punching Bag Tutorial
Although I have posted a few tire punching bag videos before, the following tutorial may be useful for those who were not sure how to attach the tires.
If you are looking for an inexpensive punching bag, this variation will cost next to nothing.

Oh that is a badass bag. My only worry would be if the tire bag would be to hard on the hands. I’m probably over thinking but that would have less give than a traditional heavy bag.
This is actually better on the hands as it allows a transfer of energy to bounce off the rubber.
Nice tutorial. So helpful..Thanks for sharing the video!
I saw an interview with Joe Frazier once where Frazier described his homemade punching bag he made as a kid in Beaufort, South Carolina. Frazier said he took an old sack and filled it with rags, corn cobs, and bricks(?) and would pound the bag for an hour daily. I get the rags, and maybe even the corn cobs, but how in the hell can you pound a bag filled with bricks? Another option would be to just take a large sand bag and use it for a heavy bag as well as for sand bag exercises. If Frazier’s fists could indeed withstand the blunt force of pounding a heavy bag filled with an assortment of bricks, especially when you consider how hard Frazier could punch, no wonder pain never bothered him. Also recall seeing a vid on one of your other posts where the Cuban boxing team was using tire heavy bags. Probably would also be a good change of pace from hitting a traditional heavy bag to maybe use a tire punching bag to prevent boredom and staleness from the same old routine.
The bricks are for ballast and will keep the bag from swinging wildly when hit. You place them near the top and bottom of the bag so you wont hurt yourself.
