I don't want to turn into a fatass because of the food she makes me. I come from a culture where the women have absolute control over the kitchen. What you have to do is simply, politely and cheerfully, refuse to eat the food you find unhealthy. Very nicely and cheerfully request what you would rather eat. Eventually you will get it. If your mom protests that the food will go to waste, just be confident that you are not wasting it because you already made a nice polite request for what you wanted, gave her plenty of notice, etc. If you are a good son in all other respects, clean up after yourself, are polite and obedient to your elders, do your share of the housework, etc., then your mom will fall into line with the food eventually. Excellent Advice!

All well and good, but what about when you move out?
You are going to move out of your Mum's place at some point.... right?

You are going to move out of your Mum's place at some point.... right? Uh yeah, obviously. But now I have the option of either living at home or paying like 8k extra a semester for room and board at my college that is 20 minutes away. Pretty easy decision for me. I'll go to college, get my degree while playing football and doing kickboxing, and then go to the police academy (I want to be a LEO and eventually do SWAT).

I think he did...
The point was, best to learn how to cook NOW instead of when you're kicked out and living on your own :)

Was wondering if anyone knows if you *have* to work out in the leangains approach to lose fat. I want to put my old man on the 16/8 approach but he won't be doing exercise since he works so much. Honestly I read that it is a diet/workout program, but wondering if anyone has had success with leaning out someone who don't work out so much.
I also am going to go on the 16/8 approach but include rowing/boxing/burpees etc thanks to this thread so thanks for making this up. I been doing 24 hour intermittent fasting twice a week for awhile now and it's been successful, but this sounds more up my alley.
