Hi all,
I have decided to learn how to cook, having not done much of it in my 35 years (mom and wife have done that for me

).
Can you recommend any good resources like books, websites, blogs, etc. for absolute beginners? "Cooking for dummies" is too advanced for me, I need "Cooking for retards". I will try doing some of the stuff in the Recipe sticky, but most of them still look too advanced for me.
Can you recommend resources that have recipes with:
1. Relatively few, basic ingredients - I prefer not to have recipes that require green capsicum, organic spotted himalayan capsicum and caramelised brewer's capsicum amongst 50 other ingredients.
2. Minimal equipment requirements - I'd like to stick with pots and pans, and the stove and the oven for now.
Thanks in advance.
