Good session. First time I've ever not got the required reps, but I knew it was going to be harder as I was trying to do the descent slower than usual on all my sets and it made everything feel a bit off. I did the 120 paused because I'd already decided to reset my max after this phase and do a few phases of paused bench, so this gives me a max to work off. Happy with 8 reps on swiss bar. Big Five 55 was a bit easier this week, so I did a smaller version without my training partner at the end as a finisher.

Salt Ayre session today. It's a great place and I look forward to going back. My back stiffened up after the 105 log which was a shame as it felt easy, thought about doing 110 but decided to leave it there and play it safe. I wasn't sure about doing yoke with the back feeling stiff and because of the knee problems I've been having but it was ok. Shane guilted me into doing the duck walk part of the medley them lot were doing, I'd already took my belt off and sat down after the yoke, and in the rush to get up and do it I forgot to put my belt back on and my core wasn't strong enough to do it without a fair few drops. The apollons axle was very frustrating, I just couldn't get myself to commit enough to get under it on the 2nd part of the belt clean. Happy to get the ss db as when I first picked it up I thought there is no way I'm going to be able to press this, but I stuck with it and as my confidence grew each attempt got closer, and I got it twice in the end.

Decent session. Wasn't looking forward to this as I woke up aching from yesterday. Wasn't expecting much so was happy to be able to match my best at that weight on military. I was in no shape to do log so I did axle from the rack instead, and they were hard to get through. Just glad to have this session out the way.

I've been aching all over since making the mistake of training the day after Sundays events session. It's left me feeling a bit unmotivated, I really had to talk myself into getting in there just to do these deadlifts tonight, and I'm surprised I managed to get the 3 reps I needed. Hopefully get bench out the way tomorrow and then find some motivation for Saturdays events session.

Decent session. Was seriously lacking motivation again today. Log was a pretty easy 1kg PR which I'm happy with considering how I was feeling. Farmers were killing my hands but I haven't done them in ages so probably to be expected, although I was faster than I expected. Klokov complexs were good fun. Decided to do the squats paused as my knee has been feeling a bit off so didn't think the bounce out of the hole I get would be a good idea.

Everything felt heavy tonight so shocked at the 240. I just didn't have it in me to do the usual 531 reps after the 140s felt heavy, so the thought of 172.5 for 5 and 197.5 for 3 and then a top set with 220 did not appeal to me. So I thought I'd see how heavy I could go doing singles, logic been that I should be able to go heavier than whatever I did tonight when I'm feeling good. The 220 felt ok so decided to try 240. Thoughts of OD4 definatly gave me the kick up the arse I needed going into that last rep.

Decent session. Bench has felt shit recently so happy to get this which is only 2.5 off my best. My arms gave in on the 2nd rep on incline, we'd been flying through all the sets tonight though as we needed to be done quickly.

Decent session. Wasn't really in the mood to train (again) today but it's deload week coming up so thought I'd just do some random stuff. All log was push press for a change today. Squats were pretty good and that's a rep PR, but I was still having to be really careful with my knee. I did the keg mainly to show the guys I train with how to do it the way I do as they have it in a comp soon. Paused squats on safety bar were a bad idea at the end, but I'd joined in with a lad I know and was doing it to help push him a bit.
