I agree that it was a razor thin call but I have to say that I believe it was the right one.

There are so many that I can't even think of right now, but one that jumps immediatly to my mind is De La Hoya beating Felix Sturm.

Ok, time to bring out the big guns. Here's one of them:
(drum roll ... get ready to throw the tomatoes)
I score Leonard vs. Hagler for Hagler (7 rounds to 5).
I think once again Leonard's razzle-dazzle influenced the judges just enough to give him the decision. He spent much of the fight running from Marvin (in that giant ring that Hagler never should have agreed to). Furthermore, other factors being equal, I do give points to the aggressor and to the defending champion -- both of which were Marvin Hagler.
Finally, even if you think SRL won, can we all at least agree that judge Jo Jo Guerra's scorecard of 118-110 (!!) was one of the most outrageous in boxing history? That's 10 rounds to 2 (for Leonard, of course)! What hallucinogen did someone slip into his water glass?!

I agree with you on that one actually. I think Hagler won that fight without a doubt.
here's one I'm pretty sure we can all agree on: Lewis Holyfield 1 was no way a draw. No freakin' way.

Hagler is one of my favorite fighters! I hated that SRL would run and than throw some meaningless punches in the last 10 seconds of the round.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Hagler is definitely in my top 5 all-time favorites, and just might be #2. Nothing but respect for one of the greatest ever to lace up gloves.

More recent than major, Paul Williams over Erislandy Lara was pretty bad.
