They could have been half tidy boxers if only they'd broken six foot in height.

It's quite fashionable, of course, among many boxing fans to be entirely derogatory toward the Klitschkos, but personally I think it has grown tiresome. Are they among my favorite all-time heavyweights? Not by a long shot. But do I think people have denied them their due? Certainly. They are powerful, skillful forces in the ring, and their lengthy reign in the sport is no fluke.
It's funny how people act like a huge drop-off in the quality of the sport occurred the minute Lennox Lewis retired. I guess they forget that Lewis's last fight was against Vitali, and that he (Lewis) was trailing on all three scorecards before the fight had to be stopped in the 6th b/c Klitschko was badly cut. (BTW, I thought Lewis's poorest hour & ironically Larry Merchant's best was in that post-fight interview.)
My point is not that the OP is right in calling them "the best", but that he is right in feeling they have been slighted by many.

They are indeed the best two guys out there. It's too bad, we'll never know who was the best ONE guy of this generation.
BTW, great avatar, Hop. Probably my favourite fight of my lifetime.

It's #3 on my own 'Top 5 Ever' list -- due only to its brevity (and probably also b/c Hearns, my personal favorite, severely damaged his right hand very early on, rendering it nearly useless). Cheers.
