My forearms were sore again today so I cut back on the accessory stuff again. Happy to get 4 with 80 as that's actually the highest I've ever gone strict on an olympic bar. Deload next week so I can do lots of rehab work on my knee and forearms.

Good short session. I've been dreading deadlifting today after going heavy on Saturday, I honestly don't know how people deadlift more than once a week. I left pull ups and other accessory stuff out to give my forearms a break.

YES rounded back deadlifters!!! Who needs to arch?
Hah, I'm the opposite, I don't know how people can squat so heavy often. I can pull heavy from the floor every week for a month and hit PRs but squatting heavy often and my squat becomes a goodmorning

Good session. Really happy with 3 with 120, I thought I'd struggle to get 1 the way the 3 reps with 107.5 felt (as you can probably tell by my reaction as the 3rd rep is going up). I did next months week 3 of incline by mistake, never mind, happy with 6 at 80, especially as I felt off balance the whole way through the set. Left out a lot of the usual accessory to allow my forearm to rest again, my wrist felt a bit sore today too, bring on the deload!

Happy with that. I put my training max down to allow for going beltless. It's definatly a lot harder going beltless for reps than it is going for singles, which should of been obvious but I'd not thought about it really. There were a couple of ugly reps in there, but it's to be expected as I've slowed it all down and I'm still getting used to it this way. Strongman session tomorrow so no accessory work.

Good session at Vulcan gym. Didn't want to go for a 1RM on log as I've been going for it too often recently, but I thought I'd go upto 95 and that was comfortable. The lads I was training with said my yoke got faster each time which is good. Could of gone a bit longer on the farmers hold but I wanted to save my hands a bit as they are heeling quite well at the moment. I did them as I just wanted to see what that sort of weight will feel like on the comp day, should be fine and I have time to improve my grip a bit still.
Hey man. Thanks for checking my log and for the well wishes! Loving your log! The videos are great! making me wanna go back to 5/3/1 again!! Maybe once I get back into reasonable shape. Ill be checking your log regularly. Keep up the great work!

It's deload week so I used the time to try out a few different techniques with the log. Couldn't get the hang of the one motions at all. Split jerks felt pretty good but it's the first time I've ever tried them so I'm sure I'm doing plenty wrong. I'll keep at the split jerks as I feel they'll save a lot of energy in the medley at the comp.

Quick session tonight. It's deload week but I wanted to go fairly heavy on the squats as I'm still working on technique. I tried it with my toes pointing out less than usual today and it felt pretty good.

Very quick session tonight. Was at work all day, then I took my nephew swimming for an hour when I got in, and then I got talked into going rugby training for an hour with my brother for the team I'll be playing for after the comp, got straight in from that and did this. Crazy day.
