We seem to have a lot of guys here doing bjj. Just wondering what the belts we have here? I just got my blue and I think spunk and facesmasher are both blues. Wondering what Penguinjj is because he seems to be really dedicated and knowledgeable about everything Bjj. Purple or brown? Just wondering out of curiosity?

Got my blue 8 months ago...no hurry to get purple.

Yea, blue. Same, got mine like nine or eight months ago.
Damn. I just checked and I have an edit to make. I got my blue ten months ago. Yea. My trainer doesnt just let people advance from white to purple like i've heard of some doing. But he said that if I develop a little more finess (finess for him tranlates to not relying so heavily on the guillotine and arm bar or take down to mount it would seem) and become less predictable within the next two months I should advance to purp.

 No offense, but such responses would lead one to believe you are either grossly ill-informed or incredibly gifted. Blue to Purple should take quite a bit longer than 1 year, and completely skipping blue (as you claim some do) is simply unheard of.

oops! misunderstanding, I stand corrected  Nah SpunK.. thats not me on the left, thats my best mate Dave 'Speedy' Elliott and he's a black belt, I don't have a fraction of his talent ;) - Although that is a fairly old pic just after he got his black belt.
