Why do you guys post your workouts?

To keep consistent and accountable to the brotherhood?

To get feed back on your workouts? (How many read others logs?)

To review for yourself and monitor progress?

Ego?

For fun?

If you workout 6 days a week, that is 24 posts a month, 288 posts per year assuming one workout a day and no time off for vacation, illness, life.

Lots of different reasons.Of the course ego is involved, its a subtle way of showing your fitness. For feedback of course. If you look at the message boards it tells you how many people have viewed a particular post so people do actually read other people posts. It often gives you ideas on how to train.I got alot of my training ideas from other peoples workout logs, until I purchased Ross' book.It also helps people to stay motivated.I know it helps me.

Griff if you dont want to post a log you dont have to.We spend a small amount of our time doing this because we want to.If you havent got the time to spare or dont want to, dont.Im not particularly interested in what you do instead.

Ian.

All of the above reasons except for ego. I try to eliminate that virus as much as possible.

Griff My reasons are:

1. Motivation

2. Keeping a track record on my progress and routines

3. A reference tool..I can keep track of my favorite circuits.

4. Not so much an "ego" booster, but it helps me to stick to my routine and I get feedback from others.

Believe me..Training is a small part of my life..I have many other interests, hobbies and pursuits. I think balance is essential.

I did not ask this to be a smart ass, if it came across that way.

It takes a lot of time and effort to consistently record your workouts.

I aminterested in what guys that post a log thought it did for them.

Well generally it seems like a good idea to keep track of everything no?
I Don't really keep a log nowadays, but I'll comment on my workouts as they happen for my own records.

Simple.

Posting a log helps me to keep track of my progress. Its interesting & informative to look a few months back in your log and see how far you've come or if you are on a plateau. Its another string to the bow. If you are'nt particularly concerned with progress but rather would like to maintain a certain state of fitness then maybe a log isn't necessary.
