haven't logged on here for a long time, and last time I wasn't very consistent. Things have changed a lot, I'm not fighting anymore or even training any MMA or BJJ or anything so it's now just recreational for me.. nonetheless I'm going to try and train my hardest. I've got a lot more limited equipment now than I used to.. (No dumbbell, no sandbag, no barbell etc) so it's going to be a bit more bodyweight based..
Any tips, criticisms or advice as always are welcomed!

02/08/2012
with 10kg vest.. 5 chinups 10 pushups 15 squats
AMRAP in 10 mins
only managed 8 rounds and 4 chins.
-- Notes
Gutted cos I started off REALLY strong, my pullup strength just died in the last couple of rounds and I refused to count some shitty attempts at a pullup I didnt fully complete.
05/08/2012
Warmup- YTWL Shoulder dislocates Squats Pushups Shadow boxing (mixed up the above, various reps.. worked up a sweat)
Weighted pullup w/ 21kg weight - 4,3,3,2 (rest, then third) Weighted dips w/ 21kg weight - 5,5,5,5
'Lower body blaster' from NG 10 Burpees 20 Lunges 30 Squats 30s rest x5
10 mins core work
-- Notes
Felt really weak during the pullups, gutted about that.. felt like I've been getting stronger too, going to write it off though.. not had the greatest weekend. Conditoning was really hard, pushed VERY hard tried to complete most of the sets without rest, legs were dead after.
07/08/2012
3 hr bike ride - up some pretty awesome hills. once I got home messed around with a couple pullups 60s L-Sit holds.
-- Notes
Really really tired from the ride, my legs are.. quite simple, screwed. Too sunburnt to be bothered to do much else ha ha.
09/08/2012
AM - Messed around with L-Sit for 2, 3 mins
PM -
2 mile weighted vest run @ 14kg
Weighted pullup @ 18kg - 6,5,4,4 One arm pushup - 6,6,5,6 (each arm) 1 arm kneeling rollout - 6,6,6,6 (each arm)
then
5 burpee pullups 10 dips 10 leg raises amrap in 10 mins
-- Notes
Decent session, felt okay on the pullups.. not so bad on the rest, finisher was harder than I thought it would be! Need a bit direction in my training I think. Just doing what I feel right now.
11/08/2012
Warmup - mowing the garden and sawing down trees lol.
A1 - chinup @ 20kg - 4,4,4,4 A2 - pistol form practice w/ 5kg - 5,5,5,5
B1 - dips @ 30kg - 4,4,4,4 B2 - band leg curls - 6,6,6,6
C1 - Tabata weighted kneeling rollouts @ 45lbs
-- Notes
Decent little session, had fun with that! The leg work was just me ticking over rather than resting too much, going to do some harder leg stuff next session methinks.
13/08/2012
Warmup - more cutting down trees lol. 50 squats
A1 - Pistol w/ 15kg (10 in backpack, 2x 2.5kg DB in hands) 4,4,4,4 A2 - 15 Leg raises each round
B1 - Hamstring band curl (hard tension) - 6,6,6,6 (each leg) B2 - 15 Knee raises each round
C1 - Tabata lunges w/ 20kg vest, 10kg DB in backpack
D1 - Wall sit 1 min D2 - 12x Knee tucks - 12,12,12 (Complex above pair no rest)
-- Notes
Well all I can say is .... 'wobble legs'
14/08/2012
2 mile run w/ long hill sprint at end.
-- Notes
My legs are fucking killing me, in real pain in my right quad Now, that's funny
16/08/2012
Warmup - YTWL x6
HSPU - 7,7,7,7
A1 - Weighted pullup @ 20.5kg - 5,3,4,4 A2 - 15 Knee raises
B1 - Weighted dips @ 32.5kg 5,4,4,4 B2 - 15 Knee raises
C1 - Weighted feet up pushups @ 20.5kg 15,15,13,13
core
15 hanging leg raises 15 hanging knee raises 15 v-ups 15 lying flutter kick things x3
-- Notes
Pullups annoyed me again lol, failed the 4th rep on the 2nd set and it infuriated me! Didnt have time for some conditioning, so looking forward to some of that.
18/08/2012
1 pullup 2 pushups 3 squats 2 pullup 4 pushups 6 squats . . Up to 10 pullup 20 pushup 30 squats
and back down..
-- Notes
Some of you might recognise his as a WoW from MrC from a couple years back, fuck it was hard! Finished it and felt like I was really going to throw up, got out of the shower and while having a shave felt like I was going to either black out or go to sleep lmao, pushed so hard today.

Added a few days training together there rather than one post at a time..

Yeah, bruddah! Finally. Nice work so far! NASTY looking pyramid on august 18th. You are definately not in bad shape. Build a sandbag and you will be a machine in no time. Funny thing... it seems that I am always talking about sandbag training, but I am so afraid of that thing myself that I very rarely train with it . So demanding it is!

Yeah I might just build another one, my last one split I think I filled it with wet sand and when the inner bags split it rotted the bag from the inside out

Cool, do you still log all your workouts on here fella? I thought it was time to try and get a bit more motivation with my training and just get stuck in, I think a log here is a great way to do that.. AND get plenty of advice and tips as always :)
Well, the MMA I got a little bit disallusioned with, I won my last pro fight with a submission in round 1 without getting hurt at all but I lost interest in the scene.. there's just too many arseholes in MMA at local and even national level - lot of attitudes, usually doormen or little idiots wanting to say "I'm a cage fighta!!!" rather than loving the sport.. BJJ wise (which was my first love) my instructor moved his club too far away for me to travel to.. just can't afford the cost of going that far to train, and there's no other BJJ clubs near me so had to knock that one on the head really..

Thanks man, I doubt I'll ever be known for much outside of being prepared to work hard, I like to think that is the reason I've been able to get to where I have both on the field and in the gym. I'll be keeping an eye on your log, you are doing pretty well yourself.

2 mile run w/ 45lbs vest
wide grip pullups - 14,13,12,10 One arm pushup - 7,6,6,5 (each side) one arm kneeling rollout - 8,6,6,6 (each side) narrow grip chin up - 13,10,8,8 weight vest pushups - 20,15,12,11
-- Notes
Run was okay, went out with the other half cos she wanted a run so I thought I'd make it fun ;) - Other workwas unweighted because my shoulder is hurting a little bit so thought I'd leave off the added weight for a week. Pushups dont count.. not max strength efforts.

Didnt have a great deal of time, been so busy sorting stuff for our wedding so I just did a little workout to tire out my legs. Starting to get worried about my shoulder again, hanging from the pullup bar was actually hurting. hmm.
