Strength (max):

Squat: 8x20kg, 6x70kg, 4x110kg, 5x100kg, 8x90kg

1db row: 7,7,7,6

1db bench: 6L/5R, 6L/4R, 6L/5R, 4L/3R @ 36kg
GHR: 4x7

Notes: Stuck an extra bit of squatting in at the end, pleased with it overall. 1db bench with the heaviest I've done showed up how shit my right is - it shows in the bb bench but this really demonstrates it. More work required...

Can't wait for studio building to be done, for work to calm down a bit, and the weather to warm up. Fancy some longer workouts, I miss doing core stuff!

Monstrous, I like that word! Quite excited for 60kg, I remember doing them a month back and finding them really hard, as of Friday they are my new work weight which is definitely progress.

Quote:
Feel like I know where I am with them now... much like the deadlift I was figuring out how heavy I can go. When your eyes pop out and you get fuzzy vision, it's about right I reckon :)

I get the same on most of my movements now I'm going a little heavier, a bit of light headedness near the end of the rep from working to complete it. I did deads for the first time last week and am already looking forward to Wednesday when I get to go again. One thing I've noticed we've both been neglecting is those OAPU.

How much more have you got left?

Strength (explosive)

2db front split snatch: 5x3 @ 45lb per db

2db push jerk: 6x3 @ 25kg per db

Clap pull-ups: 4x8
Knee tucks: 4x12

Barbell punch: 4x10 per arm @ 32.5kg
Lunge jumps: 4x12

3x [L-sit (17,12,13s), 15 band good mornings, 10 decline Russian twists @ 15kg]

Then I went nuts and did

5x [1min speedbag, 1min skipping rope, no rest]

and then

3x [1min punchbag, 1 min rest]

Notes: Yeah baby. Had time to do more, and have been missing conditioning, so stuck it on the end of the workout. Loved it!! Collapsed on the floor a la Minute Drills, geezer asked if I was alright and I came out with 'all this lifting weights bollocks is for girls' :mozilla_laughing:

Moremoremoremore...

Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.... Still studio building, still absolutely run off my feet with work, and still training. Paper log still going strong ;)

Recent hits: 155kgx5 deadlift, solidifying 90kg bench, 110kg squat, 50kg db rowx5

Overall I'm leaner than I've been in my life - despite still enjoying beer a bit - and enjoying the whole Leangains thang, but will start introducing more conditioning as things calm down and the weather improves.

Explosive tomorrow, I already know it's going to be a tight one time-wise, work is mental. Time to put prices up...

Still alive....!

12/3/2012

Strength: (max)

Squat: 8x20, 6x70, 4x110, 5x100, 8x90

1db row: 4x10 @ 40kg

1db bench: 4x8 @ 34kg
GHR 4x7

Notes: Not missed any training, just ain't had the time/energy to put it in here. Been totally flat out. Having a day off of EVERYTHING tomorrow, I feckin need it.

People curling in the squat rack today. With a bar too short to reach the sides of the rack, so they put in on the floor in the middle of the rack. WTF are you doing, people?! Brogyms are pants. Had to use those db weights as they don't have anything between 34 and 40, and nothing bigger than 40 (been rowing 50kg lately). Meh.

Do you have those scrawny buggers who just stand in front of the mirror all day shirtless, trying out different poses and flexing?

16/3/2012

Strength (max):

Deadlift: 6x70kg, 5x110kg, 4x160kg, 5x145kg

Chins: 5x27.5kg, 7x20kg, 8x12.5kg

Bench: 10x45kg, 6x70kg, 6x90kg, 9x80kg, 10x75kg

I see you have been keeping it going even without me brother - very cool! Congrats on the lean-ness. You are one lucky bastard getting that studio. Oh I remembered I popped in RT one of these days and saw you posted Paradox - Black 69. That's been on my workout list ever since - thx :mozilla_cool:

Strength (max)

Squat: 8x20, 6x80, 4x110, 6x100, 8x90

1db row: 10,10,10,9 @ 40kg (2 minute rests instead of 3 minutes cos it's only 40kg)

1db bench: 4,3,3,3 @ 40kg
GHR: 4x7

1db snatch: 4x30, 3x34, 2L/1R x 40kg

Notes: Squat felt good, definitely going to stay at 110 and concentrate on form before moving the weight up, even if I get to 6 reps (when I'd normally move it up).

Snuck in some sneaky snatch work at the end as I had a little time. It's not been on the backburner, rather I've been doing other things with improving my snatch in mind. So I thought I'd do a couple of warm ups and then go for 40kg (PR). Got it first time, though my right couldn't manage two. More of a technical thing I have with my right, I just cant't get the technique quite as tidy. Anyway - 40kg snatch.... 45kg/100lb isn't far away....!
