Well, my new job has messed up my training greatly. As such I've decided for the forseeable future I'm going to be doing Bryce Lane's 50/20 Have it all routine.

If you've never seen Bryce's stuff, you should check it out, there is a lot of good solid advice. http://sustainableevolution.files.wordp ... endium.pdf

My split is going to be as followed.

Deadlift.
Chin-ups.
Chest Dips.
Rest
Repeat.

I plan on swapping the DL for Squats at points, and the Chest dips with one arm db presses. Chin-ups are just going to be swapping hand positions.

For how my life is right now, and looking back on the time where I was doing this routine before, I feel like this is the right mix of structure, and flexibility for me. So, we'll see where I am by the end of the year after this, hopefully I'll have it all.

Day 1:
Deadlifts @ 135lbs. 75 reps.

Move up to 145lbs on Day 5.

Dips w/15lb vest

57. 2-3-5 rep scheme, hit 50 with about 6 minutes left and was pretty gassed.

Inhaling as much food as possible, and trying to get a little more sleep in nightly.

Deadlifts

75/20 @ 145lbs = 10875lbs moved in 20 minutes. Yikes, that makes me feel stronger than i actually am, lol.

Moving up to 155 on the next DL day. I feel this plan really brings out my drive. Dips tomorrow.

Simplicity is beauty. Thats a beautiful routine. I like it.

Are you doing more than it prescribes though? I see your DL were at 75, if you get your 50 do you then keep going until the 20 minutes is done?

I dont have heavy weights yet but I like it.

I would add in a day or 2 of sprints if you can.

Great stuff Alph.

50-in-20 is really fun. Ran it for a long time with front squats and DB OHP as my main lifts.
One thing I didn't do, but should have, was use variations.
I kept grinding the same lifts week in and week out.
Probably should have rotated every few weeks.

Best of luck with the program.

Yea, I plan on some subtle switching up at points. I found myself burning out after a point the last time I did it, but with the right tweaks I feel like I'll be able to do it for a long time.

You do as many as you can in the twenty minutes Finn. The goal is to be able to easily do 50, and if you can up the weight/reps. The big thing is you can't think about the 50 rep portion. You start mapping out the best way to hit it, and it really takes away from pushing yourself imo. When you don't have a clue how much time is left on the clock it really makes you push yourself.

Yesterday was another rest day, shoulder still felt weird, today it felt better though so I did a rush to 50 today in DL.

50 deadlifts @ 155lbs in 13 minutes. Was easy peesy but I was toast by the end.

Thanks for the encouragement guys and good luck in your training.

Got it Alph. I love it. Wish I knew of it when I was working crazy hours, definitely would have helped.

I did it yesterday with goblet squats. I dont have any weights here higher than my 50lb kb. So I did nice, smooth goblet squats. 20 minutes. Rough.

In process of moving out west so hoping to create nice gym in my desert home.
