Not happy with todays effort. The week off seems to of taken me totally out of my groove. Deadlifts felt rubbish, and I ripped the same skin off my hand that I did at the comp, so it obviously hadn't fully heeled. Squats felt heavy, but then looking back at the video they looked pretty easy and I could of done plenty more. I guess I just wasn't in the right frame of mind or something tonight.

Much better today. The log clean is still the part holding be back. I changed the clean technique for the strict press and it felt a bit better, and very happy with the PR. Squats were much better today, I didn't really pause for long enough on the 170 but I'm still happy with it as I get quite a lot out of the bounce out the hole when I squat in my usual way. Didn't get the paused bench on video, it was a decent length pause, but a little harder than I expected going on how easy the 120 was.

Back on track now. Matched my best at that weight on military, and did 2 reps with 1kg below my 1RM on log, with about a 20 second rest. Just shows once again that my clean is the part holding me back, but it's starting to feel easier bit by bit.

Decent session. My hands were hurting too much on the 157.5 deadlifts from were I took the skin off my hand last week, set so I used straps for the last 2 sets. Straps just don't feel right for me but saved my hand from getting worse. Squats were a bit better today, I might start using my belt on the top sets from now on though as they really are hard beltless. Barbell complexes were fun, I bit off a bit more than I could chew with the set at 65 though, I got through it but very slowly.

Great session. Happy to finally get over 100 on log, my actual PR going into today was 95.5. The guys I train with say the log is 60kg which is 4kg than what I count it as. They said they were told JT logs are at least 60kg. So my PR today might actually be 107.5. I failed the clean of the 106. Squats didn't feel great but I believe thats a rep PR for beltless. The 112.5 split jerk was close, and if I hadn't already done all that log work it would of gone. Front squats felt rubbish so didn't push them, my squats had already taken quite a bit out of me.

Good session. Used straps again as the skin on my left hand still hasn't fully heeled. I'm not getting anymore use to them, I feel I'm slower off the floor when using them, but to be fair I'm probably just moaning as usual. My left knee has been sore during and after squats recently, so I didn't push the last set as far as I usually do.
