Deload week. I'm going to do lots of farmers work this week to help toughen/strengthen my hands. I won't be going heavy, I'm mainly trying to strengthen the grip in my fingers, so I don't have to get them right into in my palm like usual that ends in me ripping the skin.

Good session at Vulcan today. I get everything wrong on the 106 log but managed to get it up still. The 170 paused squat was pleasing as it had a decent pause. Didn't even attempt the 110 jerk as it just felt heavy as I unracked it and knew I wasn't going to be able to commit to it. Happy with the 92.5 strict at the end, was a bit of a grinder but I don't care.

That's the worst grinder I've ever had on military and it left me pretty drained. Managed to get through the log work though. I've decided to start doing log strict on military day and leave the jerks for the strongman sessions on Saturdays. Going to do another little session later doing pendlay rows and farmers holds as I had to cut this short to get to swimming in time.

Good session. Just did the required reps on both main lifts. Took advantage of the nice weather and deadlifted outside. I tried working on getting my hips through more than usual but couldn't get it right, I'll stick with it though. Squats were fine and my knee didn't bother me at all today, I paused the last rep seen as I was only doing the 5 reps. Decided to do farmers over a short distance to work on the pick up and setting off fast. Added in GHRs as I realised it's just plain stupid that I have a GHR bench and haven't used it in ages.

Decent session. First week of doing the bench pressing paused, I also moved my hands out a bit further to about were I have them for overhead. Happy with 10 reps on the top set. Incline was shit and I failed the 5th rep that I needed to hit the bare minimum, I've had 6 reps with that before so not very happy, but also not sure if the paused benching took a bit out of me.

Good session today. Plan was to just do the 5 on squats which was a good job as the 4th one messed me up and almost stopped me going for the 5th, I thought I'd do the 5th one paused but didn't really pause it enough. Log went well and it was an equal PR that was much easier than last time. Failed a few times on the circus db before I found my groove and then I was getting it every time. Me and Owen decided to do some more squats at the end, I was planning on stopping at 160 but squatting with him always gets the best out of me so I ended up with a PR. To be honest I almost beat myself on that lift, I was really negaitve going into it and almost didn't try it as it felt heavy on my back as I unracked it. Considering I got everything wrong and still got it I think I must have a pretty big squat in me when fresh.

Not great today. I've done something to my right arm, it was really hard to get through this and everything felt heavy. I opened the door last night as I was taking my dog for a walk and he must of seen a cat or something as he bolted out the door and I was holding his lead and not expecting it. I'll spend the next week doing rehab on it and trying to train around it.

Good session. Plan was 3 on each but I decided to do a 4th on the deadlift so though I better match it on the squat. I did all but the top set of deadlifts strapless and beltless again, the 190s felt nice and fast, but my hands didn't enjoy it. Left out farmers to save my hands further punishment.
