Tuesday 3rd April

10 minutes of farmer's walk
Was a few seconds short of 8 reps which is a little frustrating.

10 minutes of sandbag carries
Managed to keep a fairly quick walk the entire way

100 med ball slams:
Stopped after about 20 when I felt something twinge in my back.

Wednesday 4th April

Sledge work:

2 push drags with my sandbag
2 pull drags with my sandbag + a 20 kilo plates
1 push drag with my sandbag + a 20 kilo plates
1 pull drag with my sandbag + a 20 kilo plates

Cannot quite decide on the form, whether I should allow the rest of my body to help and step with the pulls or isolate the pushing and pulling motion.

Felt like a good workout at the time, will see how I feel tonight and tomorrow!

Wednesday 11th April

Sledge dragging.

Filled it with my sandbag. Trip there and back using the pushing grip.

Added my dumbell, about 30kgs.
Trip there and back using the pulling grip.

This time I paid attention to my form and made sure that I did not step with the effort or twist etc.

I feel exhausted .... :mozilla_cry: :dance:

Friday 13th April

200 meter run
10 burpees
10 clean and press (5 per hand).

Repeat 10 times.

This took just under 20 minutes - I think 19:20.
Handy as I allowed 20 minutes for it, afterwards I lay down on the floor for about another 10 minutes!

Monday 16th April

No training - no time!

Tuesday 17th April

10 minutes farmer's carry - 9 reps (new PB!)
10 minutes sandbag carry - no idea how many reps, I can never keep count. I might need to add some extra sand to make it harder.

It is all going a bit Pete Tong here - today I forgot my sledge so I switch to Friday's workout. As I started my wife phoned me for a chat!

Anyway:

200 metre run
10 burpee
200 metre run
10 clean and press with a metal bar I found on the grass.

Set the timer wrong so everything was buggered up. Got a good workout though!

Thursday 19th April

Sword fight training. Got there v late so could not put on armour etc.
Fought in a jack and lid.

Did some dueling to first blood practice with one of the more experienced fighters and then fought in the group combat. Things were a little confused wrt the rules etc but it was an okay fight.

Friday 20th April

Sledge dragging.

One rep is to drag the sledge down the road - it is about 100m

One pull side grip
One pull over head grip
Two pulls
One through the leg pull

10 minutes of farmer's carries.
Did not wear my maille shirt today as it was too awkward to get out of the car. Will sort that out for next week.

30 minutes of pell work.

There are 10 main shots with a sword (ish - at least that is how I have broken it down).
Did a 10x10 drill where you throw each shot and then each other shot after it until you have done them all.

Then did some practice on combinations and closing with correct footwork. I quite like starting combinations with a face thrust as, normally, at least part of their face is visable.

Sledge Dragging + clean and press

I loaded my sledge with my sandbag and put a dumbbell at the bottom of the street.

Use the push grip to drag the sledge down the road
10 clean and presses with each arm
Use the push grip to drag the sledge back

Put an extra 20kgs in the sledge

Use the pull grip to drag the sledge down the road
10 clean and presses with each arm
Use the pull grip to drag the sledge back
