I have decided to continue running Infinite Intensity for the next couple of months. Due to considering reapplying for the Prison Service, i will need to change program next year but i am enjoying the results so far from II.

Goals

Increase All Lifts By
10kg
20kg
30kg
40kg

Hill Sprints:Increase Rounds by
1
2
3
4
5

Density Days:Aim to increase workout by minimum 5 reps per week. Once i reach more than a hundred, increase weight

Already, despite this being the end of week 3, i have noticed improvements in Strength and Speed Strength. Endurance has also increased. I've also had comments that i have lost some weight from my stomach, which is a welcome bonus.

Will need to reorder my workout days to accommodate next week, as my son is off nursery on the Thursday and Friday. Will update soon.

Strength Day (Saturday 13th)

Went in and did:
1 Arm DB Power Snatch 5 x 3 20kg
DB Forward Lunges 4 x 5 48kg
1 Arm Bench 4 x 5 20kg
1 Arm Row 4 x 5 24 kg
DB Shoulder Press 4 x 5 16kg
DB Shrugs 4 x 5

Finished with some technique work on the heavy bag.

Session felt good. Lunges seemed to be more difficult right leg stepping forward and felt more fatigued.Kept strict form throughout thought.

Hill Sprints (Mon 15th)

Used my new Gymboss timer to set up:
5 rounds of:
Hill Sprint (Gave myself 15 seconds to get up the hill)
Burpees (25 seconds)
Jumping Jacks (30 seconds)

Afterwards, felt knacked but not as bad as before, so looking to increase next session.

Enjoyed the walk down the hill back home, as my spot is a hill situated on a hill. The beauty of Scotland.

Got some extra work moving furniture around. Few couches, doors and a settee.
Tomorrow Strength Session.

Strength Day (16/09)

Hit the gym with little sleep, a bit tenderness in the legs from moving furniture about. Was going to skip for a kip but decided to hit it. Fuck it.

Today's workout:
DB Snatches 3 x 3 22kg
DB Lunges 4 x 3 48kg (Even after warm up, my legs and grip were buggered from the day before, so decided to go a bit easier)
1 arm DB Bench 4 x 5 20kg
1 arm Row 4 x 5 24kg
DB Shoulder Press = Shrugs4 x 5 16kg

After that, did some HIIT on the Heavy Bag.

Next workout, some technique practice on the Heavy Bag. Thursday some Sandbag work. :)

Quick Note

Woke up this morning, feeling drained, so guessing my adrenal system was stressed to the max yesterday. Perhaps due to carrying my son on my shoulders back and forth between the town, after a strength workout.

I am going to squeeze in a weighted core workout today. Will take it a bit easier on myself though, as much as possible.

Cold shower will help too. :thumbs-up:

Strength Day- 21/09/14
Was worried i would have to skip, as i haven't been feeling 100% due to a virus.Decided to go and see how i did. Glad i didn't chicken out.
I decided to start adding in Barbell work, to include the Front Squat to my routine.

Today's workout:
DB Snatch 4 x 2 26kg
These were tough. Proved to me my form had seriously improved, as heavier weight is harder to arm up. Had a crowd watching me with surprise. Not many people doing them in the gym.

BB Front Squat3x5 40kg
Practiced form a little beforehand, to ensure i still had it down. Got some "I've not seen this exercise before" looks from a few people. My body forgot how tough Front Squats are but i loved them!

1 Arm Bench 4 x 5 22kg

1 Arm Row 4 x 5 26kg

Shoulder Press + Shrugs 3 x 5 20kg

Finished with some heavy bag work, although i didn't have as much power in me as usual.

Then did some stretching, which felt good.

Have been laying off the exercise for the time being, as i am currently as sick as a dog.

Seems to be the flu, but been having diarrhea, muscle aches, headaches and all the lovely stuff.

Gutted as the gym has become a solid habit for me. Will be back asap.
