Didn't work out on Saturday, was running short on time, and feeling a little beat up. Thought the extra rest day would do me some good, and it felt like it did. Felt really good/strong today. 285 is 10lbs heavier than the most I've squatted, and it felt pretty damn easy (maybe because squatting 285 is still really weak). Hope doing only 1 work set will allow me to keep jumping up 10lbs until I get to 315, which is one of my goals. After 315 my next goal is 405, which I can get this year. Hell, if I ever quit being a fat ass it will improve my squat, if I lose 40lbs I should be able to put 40lbs more on the bar, maybe? I guess we'll see when I learn how to eat vegetables.

Notes
Pressing 145 felt pretty damn heavy today. Presses are funny, kind of like curls. Pressing 135 feels really easy, 140 kind of hard, 145 really hard, barely got the last rep. Don't know if I can get 150 on Thursday, we'll see.

Just did one rep of curls, becasue my left elbow was hurting for some reason. Feels like I barely tweaked when I was warming up for squatting. I always have to warm up my shoulders way more than my legs for squats, due to my crazy inflexibility. I need to stretch. 110 felt damn heavy for that 1 curl though. :mozilla_tongue:

I've always thought this about military presses. I'm trying to do them more and that's kind of going away.

And why are you jumping from 45 to 110 on the curls? That's insane! Ramp up like a normal person! :mozilla_tongue:

I guess I should do something between 45lb and whatever I'm doing. I do the same with presses, it just sees if 135 is to heavy for me to warm up with then I dont need to warmup anymore! I probably should change this. :mozilla_smile:

Woke up early and did a quick conditioning workout. Planned on lifting later in the day, but got sick. Felt and currently feel like shit, and didn't really accomplish anything except watch The Departed for the 100th time (it's still awesome). I take that back, I found out I can order The Ducktales cartoon movie on demand, I fucking loved that movie when I was a kid, I'm going to have to watch that.

Hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

Woooh! I'm squatting 315 on Monday! I'm excited. I'm also happy with the 200lb bench for 5 reps. Last time I benched 200, I only got 3 reps. Right after that I thought I would try something new, but I dropped all of my exercises down in weight and built them back up again. Took me about 3 weeks to get some exercises (like benching) back to what I was doing, and I'm happy it looks like working out this way is going pretty well for me, and I'm not burning myself out yet even though I'm trying to lift 6 days a week.

Never done bent over rows before. My elbow was still bothering me, so I didn't want to do curls. 135 didn't feel too heavy, but it's my first time trying this so I wanted to go easy. Did these with an underhand "curling" grip.

Started my workout, then realized I was late to meet someone, so I just did presses. Couldn't get 150x5. I'm going to continue to move the weight up b 5lbs until I can't get 3 reps. When that happens, I'm going to drop the weight down some and work back up.
