I don't want to control women. I just don't want to be forced to pay for their stuff against my will. And, if I'm passed over for a job I'd like it to be because I'm lesser qualified, not because of my skin color or genitalia. Oh, yes, and I'd also like to be eligible for the same scholarships as women, if that's not too much to ask. Also, if I could possibly have the same parental rights as a woman, that would be nice as well.

Stop fuckin' whining, how many women got truck driver's jobs before you landed yours? It's not like your part of some oppressed minority cos your a fucking man and now you're talking like being man is an awful burden to bear. Don't you like being male? I think it's pretty cool: we get paid more for the same work, we are much less likely to be sexually assaulted, we get more freedom when we are kids to go out and play, we're stronger and faster (for the most part), we can drive in Saudi Arabia, we get to act like sluts if we want and people think we're cool instead of thinking we are sluts, we're not considered over the hill if we're not married at 28. Jeez, I could go on. Seriously Kane, I feel bad for you. Sometimes you talk like a man who doesn't get a lot of ass and can't quite understand why. A bit more of the old 'glass is half full' attitude will see you a lot happier.

I'm not whining, and yes, I enjoy being a man. In many places on this planet women are treated like garbage. Here in the USA they are not. Notice that instead of disagreeing with me and showing me how my examples were wrong, you brought up all kinds of great things I can do as a man, like driving in Saudi Arabia, or acting like a slut with moral impunity. When I drove a truck it was for an equal opportunity, affirmative action company, as are most of them. Which means that, while there are no quotas that need to be filled regarding how many white males must be employed, there are for how many women and minorities fill the ranks. Fortunately for us guys, most women don't want to be truck drivers, and so, at least for now, we don't have to worry about getting edged out.

I wouldn't have responded to the post at all except that here we are, in a thread where I and a couple other people have expressed our opposition to paying for a service that only women can benefit from, and here Kuz gives us a Hillary quote about EXTREMISTS trying to control women, when, as men, we've been bending over backwards to ensure they get a fair shake for decades, while they've taken over one industry after another. I don't think you really want to get into the rise of male unemployment rates, along with the rise of crime rates, since the government started telling companies who they could and could not hire. I know I don't.

That's a bit ironic, isn't it? I mean, arguing for forced, "equality" while talking about merits? Well, as long as employers are forced to hire women and minorities over white males then I guess we'll never know who deserves to be there.

By the way, I'm not bitter, I'm engaging in an online debate(very loosely used) with hostile mofos who have already shown their teeth. We've already seen what happens when I try and go all thoughtful and eloquent, spending too much time to write something that is just gonna be scanned and picked apart for ammo for your next attack.

By the way, I'm not a truck driver anymore. I drove for almost 3 years, but before that I was a soldier, a frame carpenter, and have spent the majority of the last ten years taking care of my quadriplegic brother. I used to be a fancy college guy myself, but I had to leave school and move out of state to take care of my brother after his accident. And ever since then, no matter what else I start out to do, I end up back here taking care of my brother, because nobody else will do so reliably. I'm not stupid, I'm just a bit occupied.

If you hate us all so bad then why are you here? You must get something out of it, even if your just feeding off all the negativity. Whatever....! Look, we're obviously political opponents, I'm not sentimental about that one little bit. You just seem really angry about things to the point where you're gonna bust a blood vessel. It ain't worth it.

Especially where women are concerned! Yeah so women in the first world can be selfish and needy and all the rest.... Men have had that privelige for a lot longer. First world women also have feet that are exactly the right size and they don't get acid thrown in their faces when they try to go school. I'll take it, it don't hurt me none.

In Yankland you call them chicks.... voracious, hungry juveniles, unable to care for themselves and demanding to be endlessly fed. In Britain we call them birds.... adults with lovely plumage that flit all around, free and breathtaking to behold!

Take your old ideas about chicks and instead start thinking of them as birds instead. You'll feel better instantly. And get the chip off your shoulder while your at it man, you keep talking like I'm Mr. Posh cos I went to college. I'm not from money, I promise you. My dad, like every other male in my extended family, was a steelworker at age 16. i would have been one too if the steelworks had still been there when I left school at 15. If college is fancy... well fuck it, it beats the factory jobs I did every summer. I'll drink a glass of champagne and a nibble from my plate of fuckin' caviar to that sentiment, let me tell ya!

What is a frame carpenter as opposed to a regular carpenter?

I don't hate any of you... I'm just wary, and have come to expect you to attack me.

A frame carpenter is a carpenter who builds houses, as opposed to cabinets, finish carpentry, furniture, etc. We show up on a job site once the floor is poured or set and then build the frame of the house. Me and my brothers used to all work together before my brother's accident.

I can name a number of reasons why women would need to be controlled(in the right direction). If a woman gets a job, and a man gets a job, and there is nobody really left to take care of the children then the state is the only one left to take care of them. This is a problem simply because the state does a horrible job of taking care of children. Here in Georgia there is big problem with the teachers passing students on tests that they would otherwise fail, not that this matters because the tests don't have anything to do with real world knowledge, but that being said it shows the utter dishonesty of teachers to do their job properly.
If the women on the other hand were to stay home and take care of the children, they would not make the same mistake in teaching their children that careless teachers make. I know that men can also stay home but it seems that women are more compassionate when it comes to children than men(this is not a hard rule of course). Home schooling children brings closer bond of families and makes the community and nation stronger. It is really unfortunate that parents largely do not know their children anymore, I think both parents working full-time jobs has something to do with it.

Do you really think that teachers set the criteria for the passing and failing of state tests? Um, that'd be the state which did that and that'd be why they call them the state tests. I've graded these tests and believe me, it's not a bunch of people sitting around handing out grades for free. There's an extremely rigorous planning session where they tell you exactly what's a pass, what's a fail and what falls in the middle. Maybe the test where you come from is too easy, maybe it's too hard but don't go thinking it's classroom teachers themselves who decide the criteria, the decision is made way, way up the chain.
