Hey RTers. I will be gone from the forums until November. I haven't posted much anywhere but the GD anyway but I will be back to training posts and such when i return as part of the reason for this trip is to focus back on my training as I've wandered away from my goals. Anyway, see you guys in November, ready for the 30 Minute christmas challenge again

Hope things go well for you. Hope it's not that hardcore school where they have you punching a brick wall repeatedly until you break a hole in it or making you stand in the horseriding stance for extended periods of time. Have a good time there and let us hear all about it when you get back.

There are two memoirs on the subject of foreigners training Kung Fu in China worth reading if you haven't already: Iron and Silk; American Shaolin.
Have fun. Take vids and pics.

Enjoy.
My advice would be to largely forget what you already know and be like a sponge for all the knew skills and techniques you will inevitably acquire.
And be prepared to receive a few digs, as I'm sure you will be anticipating. The local lads will certainly want to teach you the hard way.
It'll all be very worth it. Enjoy the opportunity my friend.
