I am often asked about women and their potential to perform bodyweight exercise. For example, many women believe that movements such as pull-ups are beyond them. And while that may be temporarily true, the potential to perform such exercises is realistic if you are willing to work for it. Perhaps the best way to highlight this point is by sharing examples. I’ve done so previously and will do so again.
Below you’ll see a women perform 25 chin-ups and 50 pushups in 91 seconds. She flies through the challenge at a pace that would humble most healthy, adult males.
And traditional pushups and pull-ups are just the beginning. There are loads of bodyweight options for women (and men) as demonstrated before.
It’s also worth noting that you shouldn’t be discouraged if these exercises are beyond your current ability. We all had to start somewhere. One of the best female examples can be seen here.
You’ll be amazed at what you can eventually accomplish if you remain persistent, diligent, and consistent. There are no secrets to bodyweight prowess. It all boils down to hard work performed regularly.
