Inspirational Training Compilation

I came across the following video on Facebook and knew immediately that it was worthy of a share. What you’ll see and hear throughout are a series of tremendous physical displays with inspiring background audio.

It is always refreshing to see such an inspiring series of movements that rely almost exclusively on bodyweight resistance. You will not find any high-tech tools throughout the video. What you’ll see more than anything is nothing but a series of bars. These individuals make the most of their surroundings and are never at a loss for creativity. Their success does not come from a gym membership. It comes from their own drive and desire to pursue physical mastery.

If you want something bad enough, you’ll find a way. Lack of equipment is not an excuse. The human body was designed to move. The possibilities for movement are literally endless. With creativity and desire, you can make the most of almost any situation.

It wasn’t that long ago when I would scoff at bodyweight exercise thinking it was for out of shape sedentary folk, the military, and maybe some bored housewifes. When I thought of bodyweight routines I would envision plain old ordinary pushups, jumping jacks, situps, deep kneebends aka bodyweight squats, etc., performed in high repititions and were basically useless for anyone that was in any kind of decent shape. Little did I know that there are hundreds of bodyweight exercises from the very basic low level exercises like wall pushups to the very advanced like Aztec pushups or single arm/single leg pushups done on a medicine ball. Today I probably perform more bodyweight movements than actual weightlifting movements. Just wished I would have started with the bodyweight stuff sooner.

That video is awesome. But the quote at the end couldn’t have been said for a great man himself!
