Gymnastics Display at 71 Years Young

Below is an inspiring video of a 71 year old man with the strength and athleticism to trump many half his age.

Those familiar with this blog may recognize this individual from a previous entry in 2010. It is great to see that he has obviously continued to train hard with no apparent signs of slowing down.

  1. Gymnasts are the perfect athletes. Strong but at the same time flexible, great agility, and even muscular endurance. If they are lacking in anything it might be cardiovascular fitness but some of their floor routines I’m sure test the heart pretty much. GSP does a gymnastic routine as part of his training for MMA and the results speak for themselves.

  2. Great! I remember him because he is the reason why i can do muscle ups 🙂
    When i saw him doing muscle ups i thought “if i start training now for muscle ups , maybe i will be able to perform one before i turn 69” ( i am 28 now…)
    Realy impressive guy.

  3. What an amazing testament to the power of basic hard work and minimal equipment. Here I am working on holding a basic front lever for more than a second, and someone twice my age is doing all this. Very inspiring! Age need not be a barrier!

  4. Amazing. The will to train for no other reason than the satisfaction derived from it is the best way to turn it into a lifestyle. 71? Lots of wisdom in here. We need to listen and apply these principles!
