Inspiration from Magnus Midtbø

Below is a video that was recently passed along to me by a reader of the site.  Within the clip, you will see  training footage from Norwegian climber Magnus Midtbø.  Unfortunately, the video is not in English but you won’t need a translator to appreciate the incredible strength that is displayed throughout.  From one finger pull-ups to weighted one-arm pull-ups, Magnus shows how he has become one of the best climbers in the world.

    Norwegian:
Slik trenger Norges beste klatrer =

Flere NM-titler. Tidligere juniorverdensmester. Konkurerer verden rundt.

Har som en av seks i verden klatret en rute med vanskelighetsgrad 9B.

    English:
This is how Norway’s best climber trains.

Many Norweagian Championships. Former Junior World Champion. Competes all around the world.

He is one of total six climbers who have managed to climb a 9B route (extremly hard).

He explains how he exercises, during the video. He trains expositivity to climb routes faster.
When he is exercising he is pushing himself so hard that it can go day to next workout, but after resting a few days he can come back much stronger.

    Greetings from Norway! :)

Wow, this guy is super strong.

But I’m not surprised for a professional climber that is to be expected.
    Great video!

Amazingly strong! A true professional at his sport. I love the simple, repetitive exercises for grip and pull up strength. His body mobility and flexibility on the wall was amazing as well. Great post.

The term “beast” gets thrown around the internet fitness world a lot. But after watching him do the finger pullups, weighted onearm pullups (PULLUPs notchins) and most of all the ability to launch himself about 5 feet in the air basically with his fingertips as leverage and quickly catch himself, how could you not say that about this guy. THanks Ross
