Never underestimate the significance of hard work, consistency, and perseverance.  As an old saying suggests,

“I may not be there yet, but I’m closer than I was yesterday.”

What a legend that guy is! My brother was in a similar situation back in his mid teen years. He was very overweight and had very low self esteem. One day he decided enough is enough and over the course of a year he lost about 2 stone (28 pounds). Now he’s fit as a fiddle and does long distance cycling all the time!

Inspirational, if only everyone would ‘just do it.’

It’s fun and joy and passion and power. Thinking it’s hard work is something you give up with the fat.

Great inspiration and perfect timing (been struggling to stay on track lately). Funny that I had to find it online since I have worked out in some of the same places on the video and live in the same town as this guy. Thanks for the link, Ross.

The best part of the internet is the number of stories of success there are.

Stories on forums and clips like this prove it’s possible with dedication and certainly helped get me from a negative loop to a positive loop. Like he said, it got better so I kept going.

    Awesome.

    Get it done.

Awesome story… I lost 60 lbs in about 18 months or so… and it’s true… I say it ain’t complicated.. hard yes, takes work, dedication… but complicated no. Eat right, exercise, the weight will fall off.

I’ve gone that road before and i know the feeling…almost wanted to cry myself watching this video. He’s an inspiration for many.

Like the guy said, all you need is inspiration. I say, HE IS INSPIRATION.

That video brought tears to my eyes. Tears of joy.

The video really hit home with me; the similarities are amazing. We both went into a depression that kick-started our desire to fix our lives and start living.

My weight loss has begun to slow down and I was starting to lose hope, but watching that video and reading his website has inspired me again.

I’ve lost 80lbs over the last 6 months and I’m looking forward to losing the next 80.
