Band Training To Prevent Ankle Injury

I regularly receive questions from athletes who have experienced ankle injuries while competing.  Resistance bands are one of the best tools to prevent injury to the ankle.  If you are consistent with the bands, ankle problems will be a thing of the past.

Below is one excellent video from Dick Hartzell, the founder of Jump Stretch.

This is related to this vidio, but here’s one I found to be amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDnrLv6z-mM&feature=player_embedded

This guy is so tough. It’s hard enough to do an ironman triathalon. But to haul his handicapped son (who is basically dead weight) through the whole course in amazing. Plus, he is kind of advanced in age too.

I am totally agree with your post and also I liked the video of your post. For Athletes, its been a common problem of getting injuries on ankle. So, its important that they need a proper cure and medical treatment.

I’m wondering if isometric exercises for the ankle would have similar benefits?

When he makes the loop around the arch he goes pretty fast and I can’t figure out how to make my loop nice and pretty.
