"What?

I thought the Rosstraing system is: bust your ass in a smart way!?

At least that is how I put it."

It is, but it's busting your own ass in your own smart way

I could not say it better Ross.

But i got to add something here.
The one who things his way is the only and the best, he is the one who do something wrong.

Cause you can achieve strength (max, explosive, endurance) in different ways.

So like my man Ross stated: Don´t waste your time on the keyboard, spend it for your specific needs or train to get better.

" In the past few years, I’ve noticed a common theme emerging amongst many athletes and exercise enthusiasts. Day after day, more and more people seem to believe that they must follow a specific system EXACTLY as it is presented. Perhaps it is something they find in a book, DVD, website, or a combination of each. These people become so dedicated to a single training system that it isn’t uncommon for them to spend hours and hours defending their “way” of training. "

Hi Ross,
I'm Emanuele, I'm writing from Italy. I'm a young sprinter (100m,200m and sometimes 400m).

Regarding what I selected in the text, I can say you that sometimes, this kind of athletes (Who follow EXACTLY one only system) are often persons slaved to a "I-KNOW-EVERYTHING" Trainer. Usually this trainer doesn't let them free to choose different ways about training. (Most of these Trainers probably know less than many others people, but maybe they had success using a specific system on an athlete, so they want to apply this one to everyone).
And you know also that researching and trying different ways on different persons is more complex and difficult.
(You said all these things in a better way than mine, in a good article, but I don't remeber the title)

However I'm trying new ways of training, after I saw your site and I can say that I'm having good impromevent.

not sure if I ever left a comment before, but this is once again a great opportunity for me to do so.
I completely agree that it's pointless arguing with someone else about how good or bad your own/their approach to training is. however, I think it's about more than having a better way of training. I suppose it's human nature to try to feel superior to others, and training is just one regard in which that can (supposedly) be accomplished. politics and economy would be great examples too for how people fight over one philosophy or another.
still, I think that it is just fine to have an opinion about those issues. one should realize though that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and for most people (especially on message boards), I doubt that too many advantages will arise for them if they can convince others of their own approach (unless maybe you're trying to sell something, in which case it's called advertising), so why would you even bother.
personally, I certainly do feel that some approaches to training/fitness are better than others, and of course I apply those methods, and if someone asks me about it, I gladly share my opinion. but I do prefer to spend my time differently than by participating in discussions on message boards.
