Luke (or should I say James), as you both are using the same IP address? Anyways, whoever you are, read Adam's post directly below yours. That sums it up, and let's be honest... does it take a rocket scientist to figure this out (not to mention the message behind the video, and why I posted it to begin with)? Perhaps something to do with a 77 year old woman achieving so much, this late in her life? Could it be that her physical accomplishments are what my entry was all about? This would be clear if you took 20 seconds to read my text entry that corresponds with the video. You won’t find any mention of religion or anything even remotely related.

Personally, I honestly don't care about her religion. I couldn't care less. Her religious beliefs have absolutely nothing to do with me posting this video. But once again, do we really need to consult with a rocket scientist to figure this out?

I didn't think so…

Why does religion have anything to do with this post, and why should anyone care about another person's religious beliefs? If this woman found the ability within herself, through God, to train so intensely, then no one should take that away from her.

Religion is not a poison; people are a poison. We infect things and destroy them: religion, politics, the ground we walk on, ourselves, and each other. Every person has the capacity to do great things, but simultaneously has the ability for destruction.

Great video Ross! A couple questions though. When praising God, should we do so before, during, or after our workouts? Which one have you found gave you more success and/or muscle growth? Also, should I switch between the father, son, and the holy spirit, or are they ok to worship on consecutive days (I`m worried about the effects of overpraising :-O) Oh, and one more before I forget, I`ve been getting injured recently much more than normal. Because God is responsible for athletic achievements, is this him telling me I`m not training properly, or that there is something else I`m not doing correctly? Give him my best next time you talk to him, I need all the help I can get! Thank you in advance.

James - The video is inspirational, so it belongs here. Nuff said.

As for religion, I don't preach it here, but I do have faith, and I will not hide that for anyone.

And just to be clear, my own faith wasn't mentioned anywhere in this thread, but while on the subject, I have no problem letting it be known to anyone who is reading (which is really no different from what you just did, only the opposite opinion is being expressed by me).

Thank you in advance,

Ross

Inspirational as it may be, I would much prefer this website, a website I have long followed, remain neutral when it comes to religion. Posting videos that proclaim God to be reason one has athletic longevity and/or success has no place here, and any fair-minded theist would agree with me. Let`s leave the poison of religion elsewhere, and keep the sanctity and neutrality of this website whole.

Methuselah - No one is suggesting that all grandparents begin running triathlons. That isn't the message. This entry should however open our eyes to the potential of the human body.
