I was actually saw the rotating stool in a local sporting goods store just the other day and thought of this blog entry. The retail price (brace yourselves) was $99.99. First off, you can do the same movement with your upper body while standing up and holding a dumbell or medicin ball. Are we so lazy that we have to sit down to work out? Secondly, if you feel you must perform this movement as the stool would have you do, you can buy a bucket with a rotating lid, called a sit 'n fish for about $25.00 that will do the exact same thing.

This just proves (not just for getting in shape, but for every endeavour in life) that it's as important to put effort into learning everything you can about your goal before putting work into acheiving it.

This doesn't mean you need a degree in exercise science before you can get in shape, it just means that putting effort into learning is as important as putting effort into doing.
