Very inspiring. I encourage everyone to also check out this video about Jason Becker, who has actually had ALS for well over a decade and is still going strong. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFjQgDe_a0E

Jason Becker is a piker, compared to Stephen Hawking - the latter has somehow managed to live with this horrid disease for 45 years since the initial diagnosis! It’s amazing that all three of these people have managed to do inspiring things in their respective areas despite the major handicap.

Thanks, Ross, for posting things every now and again, both for the inspirational value and the implicit kick to the posterior.

    Thanks for the link!
I would like to clarify a few facts about ALS.
Stephen Hawking does not have the true form of ALS and there apparently are many forms-from the aggressive like Jon had- to the slow progressive kind.

That makes what Jon did truly amazing-approx 18 months into his disease he did the Ironman-he died 19 months later unable to move on his own and at approx. 85lbs.
Please continue to be inspired and visit his websites alswarriorpoet.com and waronals.com
