1. Great article Ross. A couple of people have told me that I’ll have back problems also when doing the ab-wheel, but of course it’s probably because they go too much too soon or lack of back training.

I never thought of the downhill variation. Think I’ll try that sometime next week. =]

  2. Hey Ross, I haven’t had a chance to get to the store to get the supplies to make some of those yet, however i used a couple 1″ threaded barbells and 2.5lb weights as the wheels. I threaded 2 nuts onto the barbell on either side against eachother so the weights wouldn’t loosen up and it rolls decently well on carpet/foam mats until I get the stuff to make some better ones. Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. I made those as per the instructions from “Never Gymless” and they work great. The only mod I did was I put a little less tape on so I could slide some rubber bicycle handles (with the ends cutoff) so it’s not too slippery just holding onto tape. Great stuff, glad to have found this site and purchased your book!

  4. Hello Ross,

I really like training with the wheels. I have been training for 14 months, 3 times a week, 100 standing repetitions. (I am almost able to do one arm). It has made my lower back extremely strong. Thank you! I also use many other exercises from your book “Never Gymless”
