Mayweather Wins
Overall, Saturday night was a great event for the sport of boxing. The bout was competitive, and certainly entertaining. We didn’t get the all-out slugfest that many hoped for, but you’ll rarely see reckless fighting with such skillful boxers.
Ultimately, Floyd’s defense was too good. Oscar pressed the action, but was unable to land any meaningful punches. Floyd was too accurate and too fast.

I agree with Ross. Oscar definitely had the power but boy did Floyd have the speed (he looked like neo in the matrix), conditioning and accuracy (not to forget that aweful mouth of his and 50 cent as a backup
).
the one monet in the mid rounds when Oscar fired off that mad combo and Floyd blocked/dodged everyshot was phenomenal, sheer poetry in motion.
and as far as speed goes o.O thats all im saying about that… (speechless)
no offense but floyd didn’t back up his words for nothin running and dancin’ around the ring like a wuss..i admit he is very fast but if it wasnt for de la hoya mayweather would’ve had yet another boring ass fight…
The name of the sport is boxing. Floyd is a pure boxer. He’s never been a slugger, not even at 130 pounds. This wasn’t going to change at 154 pounds. From a boxing standpoint however, he was very impressive.

im a big fan of maywether and oscar but in my oppinion oscar should have taken that bout because maywether only got a couple of good shots on oscar and oscar was wooping his ass and every time oscar would get maywether on the ropes maywether would grab oscar’s glove with his elbow and put his other elbow on his face so oscar couldent move, maywether also said that oscar was gonna b a wuzz and box the whole time when in reality oscar was throwing all the punches and maywether was the one running around i do admit maywether had skill but so did oscar and oscar came out with so much speed that it made maywether look like he was a normal speeded boxer oscar also got maywether with a LOT of good punches however the commentators didnt seem to have taken note of his punches only maywethers punche. to me it seemed like maywether was on the defensive side until the seventh and eith rounds after those two rounds he was back on the defensive sides…..
