Action

A wise man once said,

“Action speaks louder than words - but not nearly as often.”

Let’s face it.  Our world is filled with action fakers.  Action takers are the exception, not the rule.  If you want to excel in this world, you’d better be ready for action.  Knowledge is useless if you never get up and USE it!

Below is a great interview regarding Fedor Emelianenko’s training style:

http://fedor.bel.ru/index_eng.shtml?id=147

Within this interview, Fedor’s coach is asked the following question:

Do you feel like you’re giving away some valuable info during such interviews?

“Not at all, because no info can make a master.  Everyone knows the details of many things, but that doesn’t make one a master.  What makes one great is hard work.  One has to die in training, only then a move begins to work.”

*****

Pay close attention to his words.  Forget about instant gratification.  Fedor busts his ass.  That is his reason for greatness.  Learn from his example, no matter what you aspire to be in life.

Years ago, i saw an interview with a Kenyan marathoner who said, “The will to win is nothing without the will to prepare.”

It’s funny, some people search there whole life for the secret to success. People always look at what many would consider a god gifted athlete and say that these people were “born like that”. What they fail to see and understand is that these god-gifted athletes all share one thing in common, HARD-WORK. Michael Jordan, Roy Jones , Tiger Woods, and the list goes on. The secret to success has been around for centuries, stop looking elsewhere when it comes to hard-work.

Was it Greg Norman who said ‘The more I practice, the luckier I get’?
