Dogs and Health!

In a recent journal, the British Psychological Society suggests that:

“Dogs can directly promote our well being by buffering us from stress, one of the major risk factors associated with ill health. The ownership of a dog can also lead to increases in physical activity and facilitate the development of social contact, which may enhance both physiological and psychological human health in a more indirect manner.”

Improve Your Health, Become A Dog Owner

*****

I strongly agree with the results from this study.  I take my dogs running or walking every day.  I find that getting outside with the dogs helps me to relax and clear my head.  I wouldn’t have it any other way!

great dog Ross, is it Tank?
I love pittbulls, they are great friends and training partners becouse they just love training. My dog now is Olde English Bulldog named Rocky, he made 4 months last friday, and he really enjoys when I’m taking him out for action. In fact he is too young to train, and I’m not forcing him for nothing, he just running arround, but makes my morning workouts really funny becouse he is a real joker, but since he lives with me I can’t miss morning workout. Rocky just cant wait more then 7:00 in the morning, and there is no a man who can resist to a wet nose in the neck.:) :) :) :) .

Dogs are such a wonderful thing. Take care of them and enjoy everyday you have with them!

Because everyday you have with them is a blessing.

I’m a major animal lover, with dogs and wolves being my favorite of all.

I actually own a part husky/part wolf-dog who is much like a big, mean looking puppy. I used to love taking him for wa…actually, he took me for walks. I guess that’s the only reason I kinda stopped walking him, along with physical conditions.

I am definitely looking forward to more walks in the future, though, as I need to up my daily workouts :-)
